Position summary: The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of services on one or more specific projects. The Project Manager is expected to organize the project resources, coordinate project activities, manage the budget, and submit timely and complete project status and other project deliverables.

Position responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to: 1) Partners with clients to establish project plans and drives project execution to completion, ensuring the overall success of assigned project(s); 2) Meets scope, cost, and time restraints; 3) Develops necessary matrix(es) and project schedules (Gantt, Pert, Critical Path ECT ) to track project completion, goals, performance, and progress; 4) Provides necessary administrative support for all documentation required on the project, including Change Orders, addendums, etc. and distributes necessary documentation to the crew; 5) Defines or clarifies any technical issues to the crew and communicates in a timely, positive, and professional manner to both the crew and/or customers; 6) Motivates, manages, and leads crew when necessary and coordinates subcontractors, when applicable; 7) Maintains project records, documents, drawings, and changes; 8) Assists in project development and proposals and determines resource requirements; 9) Informs and updates Senior Management on progress of assigned project(s); 10) Conducts/attends weekly meetings, weekly work site walk-throughs, and crew meetings as necessary; 11) Records meeting minutes and/or distributes meeting minutes when required; 12) Notifies Operations of any deadlines related to the project and coordinates with Operations to gain the appropriate labor and/or material; 13) Coordinates all materials release and purchases, including % releases from the spreadsheet and/or material request forms; 14) Reviews and signs off on projects upon notification by Technical Design/Estimating and Sales departments prior to bidding; 15) Coordinates with Technical Design/Estimating, Sales, and Operations for a review of the scope of work with the customer Point of Contact prior to ordering material once a Purchase Order has been issued, to confirm that project(s) will be completed as proposed; 16) Briefs Crew Leaders, as necessary, on project contract documents and blue prints once scope of work is confirmed; 17) Collects and disseminates all weekly and/or daily reports; and 18) Adheres to all applicable safety/security procedures and requirements while on worksites.

Essential skills and experience: Minimum 10-15 years of increasing responsibility, including management, in telecommunications infrastructure, installation, and contract management. The position requires a working proficiency in Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word. The position also requires a proficiency in Visio and MS Project (GANTT, PERT, CPM). Knowledge and understanding of BICSI/RCDD, EIA/TIA, NEC, and related requirements and procedures are essential. The position also requires a clear understanding of scope of work and the ability to plan, organize, and effectively communicate written and verbally. The ability to read blue prints is also required. Position may require flexible, long hours and travel, including to customer job sites. The Project Manager may be required to adapt their work schedule in order to meet dead lines and project requirements.

Must be able to pass a background check and/or the ability to get a government issued clearance. A clean driving record is required and candidate must provide a DMV record upon offer of employment. Drug screening is also required.

Education: Bachelor ‘s Degree in relevant field of study and 10 years of experience in a directly related field or 15 years of experience in a directly related field. RCDD is desired, but not required. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the Project Manager is frequently required to sit; talk; hear; and use hands, arms, and fingers to type. The Project Manager is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel, finger, or grasp objects or tools; crouch, crawl, and kneel; and reach with hands and arms. The Project Manager may occasionally be expected to lift

and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and the ability to focus on a CRT or LCD computer monitor for lengthy periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
