RCDD

Another FiberPlus employee has earned the prestigious designation of Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).

This is a major goal for professionals in the design of information technology systems. To achieve the designation of RCDD, an individual must first have five years of demonstrated skill and experience in all aspects of IT systems design. The person then must pass a comprehensive written examination. The test itself is three hours long and has 120 questions covering technical knowledge and application of that knowledge in real-world situations.

The RCDD designation is awarded by the professional IT association known as BICSI. To maintain an RCDD designation, the individual must earn continuing education credits through additional courses and technical conferences.

FiberPlus now has four RCDDs in its systems design division. It also has a number of technicians who are BICSI certified installers.
