Position: Crew Leader (Technician/Project Management)

Reports to: Director, Richmond Office

FiberPlus, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Crew Leader to join the team.
Position summary:
The successful candidate must be a self- starter, motivated and possess leadership and supervisory skills and project a positive attitude and have a solid technical background. The ability to manage labor, material and perform some administrative functions is essential.
Position responsibilities:
Crew leaders are responsible for successful and timely completion of all assigned projects. This will include: Work Order and Change order signoffs, as-builds, test result documentation, training new technicians, managing on site labor, accounting for all materials, tool and vehicles assigned to the crew. Good interpersonal skills and customer relation skills are required. The candidate must be proficient in fiber and copper testing, troubleshooting and installation practices. Working from ladders, lifts or bucket trucks up to 30’ may be required.
Crew leader must be able to maintain daily logs tracking job progress, labor and material usage, recording and documenting changes to the scope of work. Crew leaders must have the ability to prioritize and coordinate labor, material, subcontractors, rental and testing equipment while working under pressure of meeting deadlines and project milestone dates. Problem solving and trouble shooting skills are essential.
Essential skills and experience:
Experience running large scale jobs, experience interacting with general contractors and electricals. RFID and change order experience. Working on projects from start to finish.
Preference will be given to those with strong organizational skills and with the ability to work independently.
BICSI Certification is a plus.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing duties of the job, Technicians I will frequently be required to stand; walk; sit; bend; stoop; kneel; climb; pull; push; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. They will also frequently be required to lift a minimum of 30 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment usually moderate, but can become heavy or high depending on the equipment being used at the particular work site.
